I have been a crystal nut since I was a little girl so all of the stones I use in my jewellery are genuine and of the highest quality. I get them from all over the world and never use beads of a quality that I wouldn't wear myself.
Little crystal anecdote...the celestite (or celestine) beads I use were imported from a little shop in South America, thousands of miles away from my little island. There are only two places in the world where celestite occurs naturally, one is Madagascar, and the other is half a mile from my house in the UK! And I still had to import it!
